This project was inspired by Elizabeth Warren's book All Your Worth: The Ultimate Lifetime Money Plan. It goes through her use of the 50-30-20 rule of thumb with clients, how important having savings is and the struggle people face to balance their finances.

However, Elizabeth Warren isn't the only one to talk about using this guideline and it has recently been popularized by LearnVest. If anything, this is a concervative look at how to manage money, and people should be saving more.

Amy Cesal started this project as a series of posters for Andy Kirk's class in the Information Visualization program at MICA. Daniel Doherty stepped in to help the project realize its full potential as an interactive website.
